Our aim is to promote the development of our young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
The 32nd Greenock & District Scout Group was founded in 1915 and prides itself with having met continuously during two world wars, while many leaders were abroad on active service. The group has met weekly since serving the community of central Greenock and beyond.
The group in the modern era has a co-educational and diverse membership of over 140 young people, supported by an adult volunteer membership of almost 30.
The vast majority of our members reside within the Broomhill area of Inverclyde and attend either St Patrick’s or Whinhill Primary Schools. The group is proud to embrace our local schools and community partners.
The Scouts award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people.
